Time Out France

The brand new Time Out "Perfect Places: France" - to which I contributed chapters on Metz and Dijon, and photos from the Côte d'Opale - is finally coming out on October 1st, 2009.

I haven't received my comp copy yet, but if it's anything like the Time Out Italy guide I worked on last year it'll be both sexy and pragmatic.

The thing about these PP guides is that you don't get a listing of every damn cafe, hotel and restaurant in the country/city - you get a considered, cherry picked itinerary for each region that covers the best of the best. 

As Time Out fans know, their city guides are the bomb; these country guides apply the same filtering process with equally great results. Looking forward to seeing it in the flesh...
